Boggia, Donnelly, Hillis & Wisely – On A “Three Hour Tour”

East coast dates with three long-admired singer/songwriters.

What’s with the water in Philadelphia? So much talent in one place.

Well for sure, I’ll be drinking plenty of it while rehearsing and touring with home-town kids Jim Boggia, Pete Donnelly and Cliff Hillis.

You see, the four of us are starting a band and it’s called Three Hour Tour (water reference accidental).

Boggia Donnelly Hillis & Wisely, Three Hour TourJim, Pete and Cliff have written and recorded so many great albums it’s hard to overstate my admiration. And they’ve all been in my collaborator’s imagination for years. That they’d all be available for this tour, all happen to live roughly equidistant from the Robert Indiana LOVE Park Fountain, indicates that something truly osmotic is at work in Philly.

We’re building a great set of music, originals and covers, taking turns on lead vocals, backing each other up, trading songs, and generally celebrating the muse over a long 90 minute set. As a bonus, drummer Pat Berkery will be making sure the rock is in place, while also making sure we don’t wash up on any.

Missing this rare musical gathering might leave you feeling as stranded as Gilligan. So here are the details:

Thu July 10 – 9pm Brooklyn, NY @ Spike Hill
Fri July 11 – 8pm Doylestown, PA @ Puck
Sat Jul 12 – 7pm Philadelphia, PA @ World Cafe Live
Sun July 13 – noon Phoenixville, PA @ Give The Gift of Music Foundation
Sun July 13 – 6pm Asbury Park, NJ @ The Saint
